Broccoli and Potato Puree

Makes about 4 portions
Ingredients
125g broccoli
125g potato - about 1 small potato
Method
1. Wash broccoli and cut into florets. Peel potatoes and cut into pieces.
2. Place chopped potatoes in a small saucepan. Pour in enough water to just cover the vegetables and bring to boil. Simmer for 8 minutes.
3. Place broccoli into saucepan with potatoes. Simmer a further 5 minutes or until potato is tender.
To steam, place chopped potatoes into a bowl and place in a pot with water. Make sure the water is lower than the rim of the bowl. Place lid on pot. Bring water to the boil. Steam for 10 minutes. Add broccoli and steam a further 5 minutes.
4. Drain well and reserve some water. Place vegetables in blender and blend to desired consistency. Use the preserve water if needed. You can add a little of baby's usual milk or baby rice cereal to adjust consistency.
5. Allow to cool before serving.
